This development comes swiftly after a public proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit became available, with the Shadowserver Foundation confirming widespread attack attempts.

Of particular concern, at least two of these identified systems were confirmed to have been backdoored, signaling successful compromise. Researchers caution that the actual number of affected systems is likely much higher, as many instances might be shielded from external scans by firewalls or network configurations.
“If you have not patched, you are most likely compromised,” Shadowserver warned, emphasizing the rapid pace at which threat actors weaponized the vulnerability. Further intelligence suggests that attackers are not merely gaining access but are actively deploying persistent backdoors and injecting malicious code into compromised systems.
Shadowserver is now disseminating indicators of compromise through its Vulnerable HTTP and Compromised Website reporting feeds. Affected systems are being tagged with identifiers such as “cve-2026-10520” and “ivanti-sentry,injected-code,backdoor.”
